Dr. Yasmeen Benjamin has been a practicing Psychologist since 2006. She completed her predoctoral training at a highly competitive Veterans Hospital and completed her postdoctoral training at Stanford University's Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic. She has specialty skills assessing and treating PTSD and trauma survivors including training in Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD. She has years of experience treating depression, general anxiety, social anxiety, performance anxiety, panic disorder, relationship stress, low self-esteem, identity issues, in addition to other conditions. Dr. Yasmeen Benjamin has worked in many different treatment settings including private practice, hospitals, residential treatment programs, outpatient treatment programs, community counseling centers, and college counseling centers.
Dr. Yasmeen Benjamin has diverse life experiences that have allowed her to connect with clients from different walks of life. She has lived in different regions throughout the country and has enjoyed traveling abroad in order to explore new cultures and embrace new experiences. She is also a former Division I athlete and consistently works at living a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
